Long island's newest professional sports team, the New York Rise, delivered a different kind of experience with their victory tonight.

Partnering with the League of Yes, the Rise made their softball game a sensory friendly experience in honor of Disability Pride Month.

The game highlighted achievements and experiences of people with disabilities.

This is really important for us, for athletes like Courtney getting the opportunity to throw out the first pitch is amazing,” said a member of the League of Yes. “This is something she would never be asked to do before so it's a special day for us."

The game was played at Hofstra University.
