Mepham High School was put under lockdown Friday after officials found a threatening note under the door of an administrator?s office.
After finding the note, school officials implemented the school?s safety plan. Students say they were told to stay inside the building and go to either the cafeteria or auditorium depending on which floor they were on.
Worried parents rushed to the campus after receiving calls from the school and students were eventually released to them. All students were finally given early dismissal at 1:30 p.m. and all evening activities were canceled.
The school determined the note was not a legitimate threat and students will resume a regular schedule Monday.
