Northwell Health has announced it has joined the convalescent plasma network formed by Mayo Clinic to investigate COVID-19 antibody tests and therapy.
The health care provider is calling for all recovered COVID-19 patients to help.

Recovered patients who are symptom free can register to donate their plasma at Northwell.edu/CombatCOVID. They will be directed to a New York Blood Center site for donation, and in a few week's patients at Northwell Health hospitals will receive treatment.

Health officials say for every single person's plasma donation – three patients could receive it.

Patients who volunteer will also be urged to enroll in future COVID-19 research to take place.
