The pandemic has changed the way Long Island shops for food, but some popular markets are ready to open back up.
Northport's annual farmers market will soon be allowed to open after being canceled by the village over coronavirus concerns.
The market will take place where it always has at the corner of Main Street and Woodbine Avenue. But there will be plenty of new regulations in place as well.
"No mask, no entry, and there is one entrance and exit, so one person comes in one way does a loop and comes out the other," says Monica Zenyuh.
There are about 30 farmers markets across Long Island, and all of them had to come up with ways to keep everyone safe.
"What we did as a panel is we looked at many of these and we looked at their proposals and we took a little bit of everything," says Zenyuh.
The Northport Farmers Market will be back up and running June 20.
