Long Islanders are making sure their neighbors don't go hungry this Thanksgiving.
North Shore Synagogue in Syosset once again held its Thanksgiving Cook-A-Thon on Thursday.

With help from local businesses, the Cook-A-Thon made and donated more than 500 meals for those living in shelters or dealing with food insecurity.
The meals included turkey and all the trimmings, including mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce and dessert.
