Thousands came out to the Morristown Municipal Building to protest Trump administration policies at one of many “No Kings” demonstrations across the country.

This is the second “No Kings" rally put on by the League of Women's Voters Morris Area and nonprofit NJ 11th for Change.

In June, more than 4,000 people attended the first Morristown rally.

"I love America. And I came to a peaceful rally to stand against the fascist state that we are now in," said Randolph resident Susanne Chiaverini.

"I have empathy and I have principles and I'm here today because those things matter,” said Michael Bernardi of Bernardsville. “Just because I'm not an immigrant doesn't mean I don't care about them. Just because I don't have crushing medical debt doesn't mean I don't care about it.”

A big talking point during the rally was the New Jersey governor's race between Trump-backed Jack Citarelli and Rep. Mikie Sherrill. The general election is on Nov. 4.

There were over 2,500 “No Kings” protests across the nation.
