The Nikon at Jones Beach Theater is set to rock this summer following a massive renovation in the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy.

The $20 million restoration, which took just four months, allowed the theater to be ready for the 2013 concert season.

As part of that renovation, 3 million gallons of seawater was pumped out of the facility. Crews also reconstructed the VIP section, replaced orchestra seats and repaired some of the electrical infrastructure.

"We felt it was important to the folks of LI and the entire region that we were back," said Live Nation's John Ahrens during this afternoon's Live Nation media day.

The Band Perry and Rascal Flatts will hit the stage tomorrow to kick of the summer off music.
