Newsday: Key figure in Mangano-Venditto corruption case wore a wire

A former Oyster Bay town deputy attorney wore a wire to record conversations between former Nassau Executive Ed Mangano, former Town Supervisor John Venditto and restaurateur Harendra Singh, according to a Newsday report.
Citing court papers – the Newsday report says Frederick Mei secretly pleaded guilty in 2015 to taking bribes from a concessionaire to get loan guarantees.
The unsealed indictment doesn't name the concessionaire, but it seems to be consistent with the Singh case.
