The Islanders are reportedly coming back to the Nassau Coliseum for the near future.
According to Newsday, the Islanders will play this year's playoff games in Nassau County.
The team will also reportedly play all of next season's home games at the Coliseum.
The Islanders moved to the Barclays Center in 2015, but have split their time between Brooklyn and the renovated Coliseum over this and last season.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo is expected to make an official announcement Saturday before the team's 1 p.m. game against the Bruins.
The news has been exciting for longtime fans and local business owners alike.
"My goal is that they win the Stanley Cup either this year or next year, and we have the parade coming right by Hempstead Turnpike again," says Frank Borelli, owner of the popular Borelli's Restaurant, located just down the road from the Coliseum.
