Residents across Long Island headed to the polls today for the 2012 village elections.

This year, 42 villages held elections, with 60 races in total. There were two contested mayoral races in Patchogue and Farmingdale.

You know, it's the time I feel like the month is already flying by. We're making our way through December and we're going to get some colder weather in here feeling like the holidays and Hanukkah starts this week as well. Tuesday 46. That's your high, a little bit below normal. You can see the chilly days will be Wednesday and Thursday temperatures right near 40 then we're on the rise again. So bit of a roller coaster ride with our temps by this weekend, we are topping out in the fifties. So tomorrow morning at the bus stop 36 in the afternoon, we are up to 46. It is dry and we are starting your day off with sunshine. You do see the clouds coming in for the afternoon. So there's a chilly damp, feel dry for Wednesday and Thursday skies will be mostly clear. There's an outside chance you might see a brief flurry on Wednesday morning. Otherwise we're going to be dry through Friday and we have a warm up on the way. Even beyond this week, temperatures will be trending above normal. So, yes, the next two days will be chilly. But after that, I think we're going to start to see more of those fifties popping up on the map. So Wednesday, Thursday will be dry. Friday. 50 nice on Saturday, Sunday, we're tracking rain will be breezy with showers throughout the day, soggy. Finish to the weekend.
