With another baseball regular season in the books, News 12 The Bronx takes a look at players with Bronx ties.
Borough-born Mets second baseman Damion Easley finished the season early due to a sprained ankle. Prior to the injury, he hit .280 with 10 home runs and 26 RBIs. The injury excluded him from the team's historic collapse in its quest for the National League East title.
Also in the NL East, Ronnie Belliard hit .290 with 11 home runs and 58 RBIs at second and third base for the Washington Nationals.
Oakland outfielder Dee Brown made it back to the majors for the first time since 2004. Although he spent most of the regular season in the minors, he appeared in eight games. He went 0-3 with two strikeouts. During his time with Triple-A Sacramento and Tucson, Brown batted .239 with 16 home runs and 78 RBIs.
