N12 Storm Watchers, who are inherently fans of weather, contribute to the success of the News 12 Storm Watch team. They track forecasts and storms and share multimedia on the News12.com weather blog, and on social media using the #n12StormWatchers hashtag.

A N12 Storm Watcher is a viewer who is engaged on social media, particularly before, during or leading into weather events. They love producing engaging weather content on social media and are vocal about their weather passion and knowledge. To be clear, the N12 Storm Watchers are not News 12 employees, they are fans of the weather who want to be involved in the News 12 content process.

There is a dedicated Weather Blog, where they can share photos, reports, and stories, and engage with the News 12 Storm Watch Team.

These passionate individuals hail from across the News 12 coverage area from Brooklyn to the Bronx, Connecticut to the Hudson Valley, Long Island to New Jersey and Westchester. 

All N12 Storm Watchers are vetted through News 12’s Storm Watch Team and receive content training.
