There is a new terror warning as the winter Olympics get underway in Sochi, Russia.
The new warning involves a potential bomb-making material hidden in a common container.
Officials say they are worried about the possibility of terrorists smuggling explosive-making materials onto a plane inside toothpaste tubes. Then, they worry possible terrorists will try to assemble the explosive devices on board the plane or after they land in Sochi.
United States officials are warning Americans about the possible threat targeting flights headed to Russia. Delta Airlines is the only U.S. carrier with a direct flight from the United States to Moscow. Russian airlines Aeroflot and Transaero also operate several nonstop flights from the U.S.
The Obama administration says the president is aware of this latest threat to security. Secretary of State John Kerry says people who want to go to the Olympics should go and the venues will be as safe as any large public event can be.
