A new legislation to help address nursing shortage across the state will now allow nursing students to complete their training faster.
Nursing students may now complete up to one-third of their clinical training through simulation experiences.
Lawmakers say this hands-on experience will expedite training, make nursing education more accessible and allow programs to expand their capacity.
Simulation training is already in place in 31 other states.
