Listen up travelers! Thanksgiving is a week from today and there's new security screening measures you need to know about before you fly.

Since it is Thanksgiving, fliers may have some good food to carry on. Officials are warning travelers that if it's liquid or gel, it can only be 3.4 ounces. This includes cranberry sauce, gravy, jams and jellies.

If you are bringing a gift to your loved ones, officials say it is best not to wrap it because a TSA agent may unwrap it. A tip - try a see-through or cellophane gift bag instead.

As for snow globes, there is a special tip for people who travel with them. They're so popular this time of year that the TSA says it wants to make sure you can still shake them. Officials say if they're about tennis ball size you can carry them, but if it is larger, keep it in a checked bag.

In addition, this year the screening process at security is easier for families with kids and older people.

Lastly, officials say travelers can bring pies and cakes through the security, but they may be subject to additional screening.
