Extra security measures are now in place for concertgoers at Jones Beach.
State park officials installed new concrete balls at the venue, saying the new security measure and others are being put in place out of an abundance of caution.
"We have Delta barriers in place that will be flat to the ground, that will be up to prevent cars from going through,” says Parks Regional Director George Gorman said.
In addition to the new concrete balls, they have also added a security screening area for the concert-goers, including a metal detector.
The new features cost about $290,000, and are funded by LIVE Nation and New York State Parks.
