There is a new push to change a law that currently allows a sex offender to legally live next door to a child's school.
County restrictions that kept registered offenders away from schools and playgrounds were tossed out by the State Court of Appeals in February.
There is currently a bill to restore the power to counties restricting where sex offenders live.
There is also a new call to expand a predator's time on the sex registry from 20 years to 30 years.
