A proposal to build a wind farm off Montauk is back on the table.
As News 12 reported last year, the wind farm project was rejected.
The same company, Deepwater Wind in Rhode Island, is proposing a new energy-producing wind farm 30 miles off the Long Island coast, according to Newsday.
The wind farm would supply electricity specifically to the South Fork.
LIPA and PSEG Long Island are not yet commenting.
