New York is set to open 10 additional state-run mass vaccination sites in the coming weeks, including three on Long Island, two in the Hudson Valley and one in New York City.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo says the plans for the sites are still in development and final details are coming soon.
Long Island's new sites will bring vaccination options to the SUNY Stony Brook Southampton Campus, the Suffolk Community College Brentwood Campus and SUNY Old Westbury.
In the Hudson Valley, sites will open at SUNY Orange in Middletown and at the Ulster County Fairgrounds in New Paltz.
A site is also coming to the Bronx, but an exact location has not been announced.
The 10 new sites would bring New York's state-run total to 23.
"Thanks to increasing vaccine supply from our partners in Washington we can utilize more of our state's capacity to distribute doses, and once they are open, these new sites will allow us to continue to get shots into arms on a large scale," Cuomo says.
