Changes are coming once again to the Long Island Rail Road.
The Long Island Rail Road says for the first time in their history, they are doubling the amount of morning trains going from Oyster Bay to Penn Station.
One rush hour train leaving at 7:17 a.m. will involve zero transfers to get you there.
The Long Island Rail Road continues to adjust schedules as commuters push for additional service following the opening of Grand Central Madison.
In 2023, riders on the North Shore created a petition for more frequent trains on the Oyster Bay line that collected over 1,000 signatures.
The LIRR is also reducing wait times for those who need to transfer.
Weekday evening service to Elmont-UBS Arena will also resume.
