Police: New Brunswick councilwoman charged with reckless, intoxicated driving
Authorities say Suzanne Sicora-Ludwig slammed an uninsured luxury car into a tree on Edgebrook Road just minutes from her home.
A councilwoman in New Brunswick accused of driving drunk after crashing an unregistered and uninsured luxury car in March faces several charges, including driving while intoxicated.
Authorities say Suzanne Sicora-Ludwig slammed the car she was driving into a tree on Edgebrook Road at 11:39 p.m. The crash happened just minutes away from her home. She was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment, police say.
According to the police report, Sicora-Ludwig said she was coming home from dinner but couldn't explain how her Range Rover crashed. The crash caused heavy damage to the front end of the car.
Sicora-Ludwig has been on the council for eight years.
In addition to DWI, she was charged with reckless driving, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and failure to exhibit documents.
