Residents living near Islip's rifle and pistol range say casings and pellets are showing up too close for comfort.
The homes of George Gonzales and Jerry Silver are next to Islip's Freemont Avenue shooting range. Both say stray casings and pellets leaving the range are a serious issue. Silver claims one pellet even broke a window and landed in her home.
Town officials dispute the claims, but say extra precautions are being taken to ensure shots don't leave the property.
