Along with two major police investigations at Rex Heuermann's home over the last year, neighbors say there has been a constant amount of people who have passed by since they found out they live near the suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer.
Etienne Deviliers, who lives next door to the Heuermann home, says the small red house on First Avenue has turned into a place where people come just to get a glimpse of where he lived.
"It used to be nice and quiet you never see anyone walking around, now its constant movement, its incredible," Deviliers says.
Deviliers says people come and take pictures and the traffic has increased tenfold.
Initially, Heuermann was charged in the death of three women. He is now charged in the death of six women and is a suspect in the death of a seventh.
Heuermann has pleaded not guilty to the charges he is facing.
