Many Long Islanders have a need for speed. Street racing has been part of our culture for decades - sometimes with deadly consequences. 
Back in 2002, two teenagers were speed racing in Muttontown when they slammed into a Jeep - killing a young couple. More recently, five teens lost their lives during an illegal street racing contest in Farmingdale.
Our partners at Newsday have produced a 30 minute documentary on street racing on Long Island.
