Navy hero's legacy preserved in West Sayville museum

A Long Island native who died fighting for freedom is remembered this Memorial Day, military officials said.
U.S. Navy Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the military's highest decoration, for his actions during the war in Afghanistan.
A museum and SEAL Cadet Training Academy in West Sayville bears his name.
