National Grid and union workers reach tentative agreement before strike

Workers originally rejected a new contract offer earlier this month.

A deal between National Grid and its union workers has been reached, according to a spokesperson.

In a statement from National Grid, they say the new deal “provides job security, fair wage increases, and equitable retirement and medical benefits for our workers.”

The deadline for the contract was scheduled for midnight. Workers originally rejected a new contract offer earlier this month.

They will vote to ratify the new deal in the coming weeks,
