School officials are being warned that there could be fewer kids in Long Island schools today, due to a national boycott over the Common Core.
A Facebook site urges parents to protest the Common Core by keeping their kids home from school today.
The move was started by an upstate woman.
Another woman complains on the web page that kids are already spending more than three hours a day doing homework just preparing for "excessive" testing.
It's not clear how many people might participate here on Long Island or across the country.
