Officials are warning Long Islanders that if they get a call from the "Treasury Department" threatening to arrest you, hang up.
The Nassau County District Attorney's office says the scammers threaten to take legal action for tax fraud.
A woman with a heavy accent demands you call back about an enforcement action.
The DA says state and federal authorities never make unsolicited phone calls.
Investigators say do not call the number back, do not give out any personal information or send money.
