Nassau County is reminding residents not to drink and drive on New Year's Eve.
The county held a news conference announcing stepped up police patrols for the holiday.
Officials are reminding revelers to find a designated driver or a cab to avoid being arrested for driving drunk.
Nassau police made 31 arrests last New Year's Eve.
