A prosecutor in the Nassau District Attorney's Office has resigned after being arrested for allegedly driving drunk.
Zeena Abdi was picked up in Queens Tuesday, according to Newsday, less than an hour before her boss Kathleen Rice declared victory in her Congressional race. Police say Abdi almost hit a patrol car on the Grand Central Parkway, and then refused to pull over.
She resigned as deputy bureau chief of the grand jury unit on Thursday.
Rice has crusaded against drunken driving.
