The two were walking home from school on Twin Lane North when the man approached them and asked them to come to his vehicle.

6h agoPolice say a man attempted to lure two children into his car in Wantagh on Friday.
Nassau police say the driver of an SUV approached two 11-year-old girls who were walking home from school on Twin Lane North and told them to come to his vehicle.
The girls refused and left the scene.
Police describe the suspect as a heavy-set white man in his 30s with short black hair and a short beard.
Detectives are requesting anyone with any information that can lead to an arrest to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS.
