Nassau police commissioner warns Cricket World Cup attendees not to illegally park in nearby neighborhoods

Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder has a message for Cricket World Cup attendees: don’t park in nearby neighborhoods if you’re not a resident.
He said that those who do will probably get a ticket - and if a car is parked illegally, it will be towed.
East Meadow residents who live near Eisenhower Park told News 12 that the parking can get hectic when there are big events.
One woman said in the past, people had offered to pay to park in her family’s driveway.
Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said they will make sure residents have access to their homes and will make sure people don’t park in their neighborhoods.
