A man accused of impersonating a police officer Wednesday morning in Uniondale is facing multiple charges, according to Nassau police.

Authorities say 73-year-old John Galifianakis entered the Department of Social Services building and asked an employee for help safeguarding his gun.

The employee became suspicious and immediately called 911. Officers who arrived at the scene say they found him with fake ID cards, multiple guns and law enforcement apparel.
