Nassau officials announced a multimillion-dollar plan to restore the historic Milleridge Inn, which is considered Long Island's oldest restaurant and meeting place.
The landmark was almost shut down last year after workers received layoff notices in October.
The long-time operator of the Milleridge Inn then announced that new management would take over with no layoffs in place.
Newsday named the new operators as Butch Yamali and Anthony Capetola.
