News 12 Long Island has learned today that Nassau County will not let the health care provider at the jail leave.
Sources tell News 12 that Armor wanted to leave, even though its contract expires in May.
The county and the provider have been arguing over pay.
The county says Armor will continue to provide services at the jail.
Armor tells News 12, "Armor is focused on patient care and is anxious to commence the transition with the selected vendor...it is Armor's understanding that a new medical provider was selected in September."
The county says it has not selected a new medical provider.
