Commuters saw a bit of change on New Year's Day as Nassau County bus lines got a new name and look.
After 40 years under the control of MTA, the bus lines are now called the Nassau Inter County Express (NICE).
County Executive Ed Mangano (R-Nassau) says he ended the partnership with the MTA because he says it wanted more money to run the system. He says he chose Veolia Transportation to run the line because it will save taxpayers $32 million.
Commuters say they experienced no problems today.
