Officials are warning Nassau County residents about a phone scan involving health insurance.

The Nassau Health Department says its phone number has been hacked.

Scammers are calling victims from what appears to be the health department's number and claiming to be health insurance company representatives.

Police are warning residents not to give out any personal information and to call 911 if you are a victim.
