A 19-year-old Glen Cove EMT died after suffering an "unspecified medical emergency" shortly after a shift, according to the Nassau County fire marshal.
According to a news release sent by the chief's office of the Glen Cove Volunteer EMS Corps, it was classified as a "line of duty" death.
The EMT has been identified as Susan Giovanniello.
A visitation will be held Wednesday at Dodge Thomas Funeral Home in Glen Cove. A funeral Mass is set for Thursday at St. Rocco's Church in Glen Cove.
No other details were released as of 10 p.m. Monday.
