A Freeport man pleaded guilty Monday to fatally striking a pedestrian while driving drunk, according to the Nassau County district attorney.
Tyshaun Johashen admitted to hitting a 24-year-old woman who was crossing Babylon Turnpike in May.
Prosecutors say the 32-year-old had at least three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system at the time of the crash.
News 12 is told Johashen’s license was suspended at the time of the crash for pending DWI charges.
He is set to be sentenced in October and faces six to 18 years in prison.
