Nassau County legislators voted Monday to transfer the Nassau Coliseum's lease to Las Vegas Sands.

Lawmakers voted nearly unanimously on the 42-year agreement.

Las Vegas Sands says the Nassau Coliseum will function as it has in the past.

County legislators also approved the start of an environmental review required for any future development on the land, including a possible casino.
