Nassau police made 12 arrests Wednesday night after breaking up a multimillion dollar gambling ring.

Investigators believe there may have been as many as 65 individuals operating as runners, earning as much as $65,000 per day. Police confiscated $90,000 in cash and eight cars in the bust, which capped a more than a yearlong investigation.
The 12 suspects have each been charged with promoting gambling, which is a felony, and face up to four years in prison if convicted.
