Nassau County's comptroller is issuing subpoenas in the Hempstead Industrial Development Agency tax break controversy.
George Maragos is "commanding" top IDA members to surrender all documents related to the Green Acres Mall tax break.
Maragos is also demanding documents from the Town of Hempstead supervisor and clerk.
Maragos says he has no choice because the Industrial Development Agency has stopped cooperating with his office.
The comptroller says if the documents are not turned over by Nov. 16, he will take legal action.
