A Nassau County business mogul was convicted Friday of serious embezzlement charges.
Thomas Hoey was found guilty of embezzling nearly $1 million from his employees.
As News 12 has reported, the money came from the Long Island Banana Company's retirement savings.
The verdict is being added to a list of legal woes for Hoey, who is already serving time for assaulting his girlfriend and supplying drugs to a woman who died during a party.
