Nearly 200 people gathered on the beach at the Montauk Lighthouse before sunrise Monday to participate in a naked photo shoot.
The shoot was organized by Spencer Tunick, a photographer who is known for photographing large groups of naked people in front of famous landmarks worldwide. Lesli Baker, of Manhattan, says she saw a documentary on Tunick's art and was excited to join the process.
Tunick says he obtained a permit to host the shoot at the lighthouse. Those who stripped down to nothing said the experience was unique and liberating, despite the wind and chilly temperatures.
