Nassau police will increase patrols of the Massapequa Preserve following reports of a partially naked man who has allegedly approached women.
Police told News 12 Long Island that two people reported that they were approached this month by a man wearing only a hoodie in the preserve.
Many park visitors told News 12 that they were shocked by the reports.
"I'm glad you told me that, I might not come back," said Nancy Lipira, who uses the preserve's trails to go running.
George Seyfried frequents the park and said that this is not the first time he's heard of a nude person approaching people. He voiced concern for women and children.
Police told News 12 that they are warning women not to walk alone in the preserve as they try to track down the naked man.
