A fallen Long Island Medal of Honor recipient will soon have a museum dedicated in his honor.
The museum will be dedicated to Lt. Michael Murphy, of Patchogue, who was killed in Afghanistan in 2005.
The museum will be built at the West Sayville County Golf Course.
"It's a living testament, and it's a living and breathing memorial," said state Sen. Tom Croci.
Suffolk will receive a grant to be earmarked for the museum.
