Murder indictment handed down in South Toms River case

A man from South Toms River has been indicted months after his wife was found dead in their home.

An Ocean County grand jury indicted 38-year-old Gustavo Juarez-Perez on charges of murder and possession of a weapon.

Cheyanne Juarez, 30, was found unconscious with a belt around her neck at a home on Hummel Drive, prosecutors said.

The case dates back to March.

It remains unclear when Juarez-Perez will appear before a judge.
