Multiple cars were destroyed in Van Nest Tuesday evening in a fire.
The FDNY says crews responded to 2009 Cruger Ave. just after 8 p.m.
Firefighters battled flames inside two vehicles. The fire was extinguished in just under an hour.
"We heard an explosion. Boom. And then we heard it again. Boom. And then that's when I heard the firefighters come. And then that's when I decided to come see,” said Alex Pena, an owner of one of the cars. “When I came, this car was burst into flames, and it was burning the back of this other car over here."
Fire officials say no injuries were reported.
