Firefighters have extinguished a massive mulch fire in Bay Shore.

More than 150 firefighters from nearly 40 departments braved the bitter cold and whipping winds through the night.

The fire broke out at around 11 a.m. Sunday near the industrial park on Corbin Avenue.

Authorities say it's unclear what sparked the fire, but News 12 Long Island Meteorologist Bill Korbel says the extremely dry weather conditions didn't help.
