Mount Sinai High School students went on a shopping spree today at the Smith Haven Mall to brighten the holidays of needy children.

Members of Mount Sinai High School's Students Against Destructive Decisions worked with the nonprofit Holiday Magic to provide needy children with toys for the holidays. The students were given $100 to shop for each child on their lists.

SADD students raised $5,500 for the shopping spree. Holiday Magic supplied the rest of the funds.

This was the second year the students worked with the nonprofit.

"We actually get Christmas lists from the kids," says senior Lindsay Putkowski. "We get to see what they want. It's so fun."
